As the Vice President of Data and Analytics, Sam leads a team of data analysts, GIS experts, and data scientists that are responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s core data products in line with Verisk Maplecroft’s Data Strategy.
These include 1) the Country Risk Data composed of 190+ indices covering political, human rights, climate, environmental and economic risks, 2) the SRCC models designed for the insurance sector, 3) the Industry Risk Data which assesses 50 resilience and sustainability issues across 80 industries, and 4) the Commodity Risk Data which analyses sustainability risks for 160+ hard and soft commodities in their major producing nations.
He has fifteen years experience working in data-led analysis and consulting with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics and a master’s degree in International Relations, both from the University of Bristol.
