Petros Keshisian

Dr. Petros Keshishian has over 25 years of experience in catastrophe risk modeling and predictive analytics for P&C insurance industry for perils ranging from earthquakes and hurricanes to wildfires and floods, as well as for life and health including workers compensation and pandemic risk models. Before joining KatRisk, Petros has worked at EQECAT (currently Corelogic), AIR-Worldwide (currently Verisk), RMS (currently Moody’s) and Global Atlantic Financial Group leading a variety of research and development as well as consulting projects in the areas of risk modeling, uncertainty quantification and decision making under uncertainty. Currently, Petros is the Head of the Model Development at KatRisk, where he leads the efforts to expand KatRisk’s flagship Flood model to cover the flood prone areas all over the world, as well as developing other peril models, like the Severe Convective Storm model that was released in 2024 and the Wildfire model that will be released in the coming months. Petros holds a BS from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, an ME from the American University of Armenia and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
