Monica Tigleanu, is a seasoned cyber insurance expert with over 14 years of experience in the industry and she currently serves as the Cyber Strategy Director at BMS Group.

In this pivotal role, her primary focus is to advance BMS' cyber (re)insurance strategy by developing sophisticated risk management solutions designed to address the continuously evolving cyber risk landscape. Monica assists organisations (including insurance companies) with transferring their cyber risk allowing them to manage the impact of cyber events.

Leveraging her extensive global network, Monica connects new capacity from various (re)insurance hubs, leading the development of innovative products that offer tailored and previously unattainable coverage.

Monica has held an array of senior positions at esteemed organisations such as Munich Re, Marsh, Beazley, and AIG. As the cyber insurance market’s inaugural Cyber Property Damage Leader, she expertly promoted cross-class collaboration within the insurance industry by connecting the fields of property insurance, engineering, cybersecurity and technology risk.

As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), she is acutely aware of the challenges organisations face when it comes to maintaining cyber resilience as well as quantifying cyber risk. Monica is also certified CRISC and CIPP US/EU.
