Maryam Haji is a Head of Research at TransRe. With a deep expertise that spans across multiple facets of reinsurance and analytics, she is recognized for her cross-functional proficiency in risk management, data analytics, catastrophe model validation, exposure management, climate research, parametric product development, predictive analytics, and cyber risk.

As part of the Global Portfolio Management team at TransRe, Maryam leads a dedicated team focusing on the development of analytic tools and providing robust risk management solutions. Her leadership style is characterized by her ability to foster collaboration and drive innovation. She is committed to nurturing talent and encouraging her team to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of analytics and risk management. Her vision for the future of reinsurance is one that embraces technological advancements and leverages data-driven insights to create more resilient and adaptive solutions.

Prior to her tenure at TransRe, Maryam was associated with Impact Forecasting, Aon Benfield, where she served as a Senior Scientist and Catastrophe Model Developer. Her role at Aon Benfield allowed her to delve deep into the intricacies of catastrophe modeling, further honing her expertise in this critical area of reinsurance.

She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran.
