Anna Neely

Anna Neely is Managing Director, Head of Catastrophe R&D, Howden Re, where she leads research and development initiatives, that create tailored solutions for clients’ who have the potential to be impacted by catastrophe events. Previously, Anna was Head of Cat Response and R&D Lead for TigerRisk which was acquired by Howden in June 2022, creating a leading global reinsurance broker, strategic advisory, and capital markets business. Her expertise in model development enables her to oversee model validation and create risk assessments that offer a competitive edge and bespoke solutions for clients. Her deep understanding of industry loss data and catastrophe hazards aids the analysis of catastrophe events in real time and their impact on the re/insurance market.

Before TigerRisk, Anna was with ZS Associates, holding roles including Associate Consultant and Business Analyst and a Senior Scientist with AIR Worldwide where she specialized in wildfire and fire following earthquake modeling.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Meredith College, in addition to a Master of Science in Environmental Systems with a focus on Mathematical Modeling from Humboldt State University.
