Alexandra Tsioulou joined Gallagher Re in 2018 as a multi-peril specialist within the Model Research and Evaluation team based in London, UK. She is currently a Divisional Director and the lead for the earthquake peril. Her primary areas of focus include vendor model evaluations and adjustments, the development of innovative and bespoke solutions to assess risk for a range of perils globally, and the incorporation of research outputs into catastrophe modelling. In her role, she works closely with the commercial teams to assist clients in developing their view of risk.
Prior to joining Gallagher Re, Alexandra completed a PhD specializing in seismic risk at University College London. Before that, she was a geotechnical and seismic engineer at Arup in San Francisco, USA, following her MSc degree in Geoengineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Civil Engineering Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens.
